We covenant to be intentional in building
life-on-life relationships to the end of sowing the seed of the harvest,
cultivating that seed, reaping, and "vintaging" believers into mature
followers of Christ. We will not be dependent on Crosspoint worship
services to be the only instrument of sowing in our lives.
We will spend ourselves in the harvest here and
around the world. He has called us to disciple all peoples and we will
be invested in big dreams and big plans concerning "global discipling".
DISCIPLESHIP
We are serious about growing and maturing in our
faith and discipling other believers. Community Bible study and teaching
times will be a priority and will be reflected in attendance and
participation.
We understand that faithful discipleship is the
result of hearing and doing the Word of God. Crosspoint is making an
intentional effort not to over-program the "doing".
SERVICE
We covenant to serve the community of faith at
Crosspoint through our areas of giftedness. Through prayer, wise counsel
and under the direction of church leaders, we will seek to know what our
spiritual strengths and gifts are in an effort to build up the Body of
Christ at Crosspoint.
We covenant to financially support the ministry of
Crosspoint Fellowship through regular, sacrificial giving. We understand
that our financial support is a privilege and a part or our worship as
well as our pledge and responsibility to the Body of Christ.
WORSHIP
We understand that community worship times at
Crosspoint are a worship expression of the journey of faith between
Sundays. We recognize that worship is an offered life, not just a song.
Crosspoint community worship times are a time of teaching, celebration,
prayer, and response.
We understand that our community worship times are
real spiritual encounters with a Living God. As a result, corporate
worship events focus on His good pleasure and our response to His
message.
We covenant to honor the Body of Christ through
regular worship attendance and help hold one another accountable to the
ministry of attendance.
We covenant to pray for God's sovereign work
through Crosspoint Fellowship.
FELLOWSHIP
We understand that we have the responsibility to
seek out "Spiritaneous" (Spirit-led) connections with other members at
Crosspoint Fellowship.
We agree to guard and preserve the unity of the
Body by adhering to the instruction of Scripture concerning the
fellowship of believers.
We understand that Crosspoint Fellowship is a
theocracy, not a democracy. We understand that Crosspoint Fellowship is
led by an Elder Board, not led by the entire congregation, and that
submitting to that authority is Biblical. We agree that the prescribed
Biblical model for the community of faith involves church discipline.
