Lorie and her husband Steve, along with their children have served in lay ministry to the Greenville community for the past 24 years, with the exception of two years serving in Central Asia. The Roberts family was led to serve the Crosspoint Fellowship mission in September of 2004, and later became members of the newly constituted Crosspoint Fellowship in April 2005. In April of 2011, Lorie was blessed when the Lord led her to join the Crosspoint Staff.

Lorie and Steve have four children. Their oldest daughter Stephanie, her husband Jake, and children Eva, Luke, Titus & Joseph currently serving in Central Asia. Christa who is engaged to be married this fall. Collin, who serves on staff at a sister church in Flower Mound, and his wife Ashley. Zarina who joined the family in Central Asia in 1999 and lives in Greenville with her husband Kevin, and their children Xavier (Zay) and Kadence, while working as a registered nurse.
